Experienced in small groups in a private cinema situated in Melbourne’s financial district, the tours aimed to give participants, or ‘tourists’, an opportunity to experience the dark web in the safety and relative anonymity of a tour group.
Each exploration was led by the tour group itself through an anonymous, democratic interface. Each individual tourist was given a say in the group’s direction. By sharing the decision making, tourists were able to share the risk of going places they may never have dared go alone.
